What are some unanswered questions you have for "Lord of the Flies"?

When i read this book i had a lot of questions. I don't know  how many you need , but I'll share a few.
1. Why does Golding end lord of the flies with the rescue of the boys? Does this ending change the realistic nature of the novel?
2.what is  the role of religion for the boys? Christian?  Or pagan?
3. why does is matter that they are kids? Would adults act differently?

This quote can be found only in the movie.
It can be heard in the third movie, and is told by the headmaster.
I just checked the book, and it doesn't appear there.
