If you go for weeks without eating the proper amount of calories, your body may experience a drop in its resting rate of energy
Gemiola [76]

Answer:

Basal metabolic rate.

Explanation:

If you go for weeks without eating the proper amount of calories, your body may experience a drop in its resting rate of energy expenditure or basal metabolic rate.

Basal metabolic rate (RMR) also known as resting metabolic rate (BMR) can be defined as the amount of calories that is required to keep the human body to function properly and perfectly at rest.

This ultimately implies that, basal metabolism is the minimal amount of calories or energy that is required by an individual for maintaining vital functions such as blood circulation, keeping the body warm and respiration while fasting or in a complete mental and physical rest.

Some of the factors that affects the basal metabolism rate (BMR) in humans are height, weight, age, starvation or fasting, thyroxine, fever, stress, malnutrition and growth.

Additionally, calorie can be defined as a standard unit used for the measurement of the amount of energy present in a living organism.

Explain why private clouds are shrouded with legal concerns.
Anestetic [448]

Answer:

A private cloud can actually be less secure than a public cloud. Although public clouds are a great target for hackers, it is very important to understand that information is not secure in a private cloud. There are many legal problems concerning security. Security procedures are generally non-existent. Confidential data may be out of range, and physical security functions can expose their data to various threats.

You are writing a research paper about how cell phones can improve education in the US. Your Internet search yields the followin
Anton [14]

Answer:

D)

Explanation:

I honestly don't like this question. It's a really poor question. But anyway, here's the explanation:

1) All search results are somewhat relevant. They have the keyword "cell phone" in every result. So none should be considered off-topic.

2) Matching personal opinion with given answer choices.

My personal list if any, would have been 3, 1, 2, 4.

But since the author has helped as out, 3 and 2 are guaranteed to be the top choices, the last part is determining whether search result 4 is more relevant compared to 2.

Since I believe 1 is somewhat relevant, A and C are negated. Leaving, B and D. In this situation, I would prefer 1 than 4 since search result 4 doesn't exactly help your research paper compared to search result 1. Therefore, the only choice is D.
