Answer:

c) initially was not a legislative body, but an advisory body.

Explanation:

 • The Roman Senate was an important advisory body to Rome's emperor and later, the consuls. It was composed of Rome's elite and experienced public servants.
 • Initially, it consisted of 300 members and they acted as an advisory body to the emperor. They had no genuine legislative authority or power but they were fundamental in assisting the emperor for good administration.
 • They discussed domestic and foreign affairs with the emperor and assisted in financial and other social spheres. The Roman Senate later became the most powerful political group in Rome.

How was apartheid implemented in South Africa? What were the economic consequences of apartheid?
sashaice [31]

Answer:

1). The Great Depression and World War II brought increasing economic woes to South Africa and convinced the government to strengthen its racial segregation policies. In 1948, the Afrikaner National Party dominated the general election under the slogan 'apartheid' (literally 'apartness').

2). The apartheid was able to eliminate intra-race inequalities, as the whites were all enhanced resources, and the non-whites were all excluded solely because of their races. Thus, though intra-race disparity decreased, the wealth gap between whites and non-whites expanded (Linford, 2011)
