I think what you are trying to d it connect the diagram with the explanation it is used for. That being so, the explanation of 3 is the one that you should be looking at. The diagrams explains carefully how Venus can be both the morning and the evening star. It explains why there are peculiarities in Venus' orbit. This is your answer 3

A incorrect because it argues why some constellations can only be seen in the northern hemisphere and some on the southern. By so doing it explains why the earth cannot be flat.

The second paragraph explains again why the earth must be round and not flat. It comes about because the bottom part of a ship disappears when the ship is far enough from shore.

The last paragraph is incorrect because it is talking about the way the earth would have to be situated if it was the center of the universe. It would have to be unable to rotate (not true, it does rotate) and it would have to show no lateral movement at all (also not true). There is too much in the sky that argues against this latter idea.

The answer is Excerpt 3. The third excerpt matches the attached image.

The excerpt starts off by describing a fixed arm that extends from the earth to the sun, which is present in the image. The excerpt also mentions point P which is also apart of the given image.

As the story goes, even at birth, that old matchmaker, God in heaven, ties an invisible red string around the foot of a boy and a girl destined to spend their lives together as husband and wife. No matter the distance or the circumstances, nothing can break this string.” A cople of weeks passed by and a matron came and knocked on the door when Ju-Lin opened the door there was a disgruntled matron. He came inside he talked to Moi-Yun saying “my son is stubborn, and he will not take any women in marring. None of the women in the five naborhoods do not meet his requirements he wants a woman with long peasant feet, and I need someone to tell his there is no women to meet his requirements. So, Ju-Lin the next day went off on her journey to talk to the boy. When she made it, the son just got back from a walk. The matron said "my son, I told you your expectations were unreasonable! Now you will hat to listen to the words of the most respected moi-yun of all five provinces. She couldn’t come in person, but you will hear from her assistant. You should pay close attention, for I have gone through a lot of trouble to moment, but I shall be back shortly.” And she gave him advice and change his lower his expectations.

I think this story is trying to say never have to high requirements or you will not get what you want. I think that the way the story updates the character type or story pattern means you must change.

Law Incorporation [45]

Your question is incomplete because you have not provided the answer options, which are:

exhibit grace under pressure.

recognize the meaningless of life.

have a mentor to follow.

learn from his mistakes.

Answer:

exhibit grace under pressure.

Explanation:

In the excerpt from Hemingway's "A Farewell to Arms," the narrator makes reference to how soldiers spend their time before an attack. In that respect, he mentions that he is invited to have a drink with the major and other officers in a kind and pleasant atmosphere. Thus, the relaxed and unconcerned moment they have contrasts with the brutality of the attacks, which demonstrates the dignity and amiability of the men in stressful times.
