Answer:

The perimeter of Square B is (-24x+100) units much bigger than Square A.

Step-by-step explanation:

Side length of square A = (2x-7)

Side length of square B = (-4x+18)

Perimeter of a square is

Perimeter=4a

where, a is side length of square.

Perimeter of square A is

Perimeter=4(2x-7)=4(2x)+4(-7)=8x-28

Perimeter of square B is

Perimeter=4(-4x+18)=4(-4x)+4(18)=-16x+72

Difference between perimeter of Square B than Square A is

Difference=-16x+72-(8x-28)

Difference=-16x+72-8x+28

Combined like terms.

Difference=(-16x-8x)+(72+28)

Difference=-24x+100

Therefore, the perimeter of Square B is (-24x+100) units much bigger than Square A.

How much bigger is B than A , so Side length B- A = (-4x+18) - (2x-7) = -6x+25
So perimeter = 4x length = 4x(-6x+25) = -24x+100 = 100-24x
How much bigger? 100-24X

What re the solutions of the equation x^2 +4x+4 = 25?
Oliga [24]
Get everything on one side: x^{2} +4x-21=0.  Now we can factor to find the solutions.  What we ask ourselves here is "What 2 numbers will add to be +4 and multiply to be -21?"  +7 and -3 work because 7-3 = 4 and 7 * -3 = -21.  So our factors are (x+7)(x-3).  Our solutions, however, are found using the Zero Product Property.  If x + 7 = 0, then x = -7.  If x - 3 = 0, then x = 3.  So our solutions are x = -7 and x = 3.
