Answer:

I believe x = 2.

Use distributive prop. to get rid of parentheses:

3x-12=-4x+2

Move the -12 over to the other side. Since everything that goes to the other side changes signs, the "-" sign will change to a "+" sign. Move the -4x to the other side as well. Remember to change the sign!

3x + 4x = 2 + 12

Now combine like terms:

7x = 14

To get the x fully isolated, we need to divide both sides by 7 so we can get rid of the 7.

7x/7 = 14/7

x = 2

Hope this helped! :)

Find the average speed in miles per hour needed to make the trip in the desired.

From the question, Seth's family plans to drive 220 miles to their vacation spot and they would like to complete the drive in 4 hours.

Average speed is calculated as distance travelled divided by the time taken. This will be:

PLEASE HELP WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST TO CORRECT ANSWER
ioda

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

h(x) = 7 - x - 2x^5

h(-1) = 7 + 1 - 2(-1)^5

h(-1) = 7 + 1 + 2

h(-1) = 10

Now differentiate h(x)

h'(x) = -1 - 2*5*x^4

h'(x) = -1 - 10x^4

h'(x) = -1 - 10(x)^4

h'(x) = -1 - 10 (x)^4

h'(-1) = -1 - 10(10000)

h'(-1) = -1 - 100000

h'(-1) = - 99999
