The height of the pole happens to be the side (of this triangle) opposite the given 30 degree angle, and the hypotenuse (43 m) is given.  Thus, 

height of pole = opposite side = (43 m)*sin (30 deg)  = 21.5 m.

To find the length of the light pole you'll have to use the sine ratio.

sin 30 = x/43
43 (sin 30) = x
21.5 = x
