The polluter is multiplied by covering the pyramidal base, that is, it affects all the following links that depend on the base of this pyramid, that is why the effect is multiplier, and much more serious.

Explanation:

If we analyze, the problem that is in the base creeps in all the following links, on the other hand, if the pollutant is in the third link of this pyramid it will only affect the last links, the lower the pollutant is, or more closer to the eastern base, the more negative repercussions it will have on the rest of the food chain.

The traditional example of this is the consumption of soya with pollutants in cattle, since it is dragged towards humans and all those animals that continue in the food chain.
