Answer:

log9

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the rules of logarithms

logx + logy = log(xy)

logx - logy = log(\frac{x}{y})

logx^{n} ⇔ nlogx

Given

2(log18- log3) + \frac{1}{2}log\frac{1}{16}

= 2(log(\frac{18}{3} ) ) + log(\frac{1}{16}) ^{\frac{1}{2} }

= 2log6 + log\frac{1}{4}

= log6² + log\frac{1}{4}

= log36 + log\frac{1}{4}

= log( 36 × \frac{1}{4} )

= log9

The area of a rectangle is 99 square units. Its width measures 9 units. Find the length of its diagonal. Round to the nearest te
mariarad [96]

Answer:

14.21 units (14.2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula for area is W(L) or width multiplied by length.

The formula for finding the length of a rectangle's diagonal is :

d = \sqrt{w^{2}+l^{2}  }

Now we solve for d.

d = \sqrt{w^{2} + (\frac{A}{W})^{2}

= \sqrt{9^{2} + (\frac{99}{9})^{2}

≈ 14. 21267

≈ 14.2

Henri made 40 brownies. This is 25% of the brownies he must make. How many brownies must he make?
noname [10]

answer: henri must make 160 brownies.

work:

set up as a system of equations.

\frac{40}{x} = \frac{25}{100}

now, cross multiply to solve.

25(x) = 40(100)

25x = 4,000

now divide 4000/25.

4000/25 = 160.

40 is 25% of 160, so he must make 160.
