The correct answer is B) heightened domestic security measures to defend against terrorism.

The response to the threat of terrorism that has most directly impacted citizens in the United States is "heightened domestic security measures to defend against terrorism."

After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the Bush administration took many actions to fight terrorism and protect the United States. Specifically, one of the most important decisions the Bush administration made was the creation of the Department of Homeland Security. Its main objectives were the security of the nation, border security, cybersecurity, immigration, customs, and the prevention against terrorist attacks.

Ipatiy [6.2K]
True. By the 1560s, the French Protestants were looking to the New World to establish a Protestant state in which they could practice their religion. They sent an expedition to the St. Johns River area of modern-day Florida and began a colony near what is now the city of St. Augustine.

Describe what trade was like during India's "Dark Ages." How did Samudra Gupta change policy within India?
KiRa [710]

The "Dark Age" in the Indian Empire was a period known for a series of rebellions that occurred against the ruling Kushanas. This happened due to the lack of legitimacy by them during the beginning of the 4th century. This created many small kingdoms within the provinces of India and fractured the empire. A lot of unregulated commerce happened during these provinces and there was little to no control by the Empire.

However, when Samudragupta rose to power, he started a campaign to unify the territories of India. Gradually annexing province by province as he went through them. This brought order as the trade was now regulated by one only entity which was the Empire.
