Given : If x ≠ -2 then f(x) = \frac{3}{4}x - 1

As -5 ≠ -2 ⇒ f(-5) = \frac{3}{4}(-5) - 1 = (\frac{-15}{4} - 1) = \frac{-19}{4}

Given : if x = -2 then f(x) = -1

As x = -2 ⇒ f(-2) = -1

Given : If x ≠ -2 then f(x) = \frac{3}{4}x - 1

As 2 ≠ -2 ⇒ f(2) = \frac{3}{4}(2) - 1 = (\frac{3}{2} - 1) = \frac{1}{2}
