Answer: 4,599 I'm going to say this based off my test. Yet you didn't say how big the volleyball was. For example, if it was like 12 or 14 inches. I can change my answer if you are more detailed. Have a nice day!

I don’t understand can someone please explain how to work this out and what the answer is
joja [24]

When you see an equation with parenthesis around it, you can use this:

Parenthesis

Exponents

Multiplication

Division

Addition

Subtraction

Otherwise known as PEMDAS.

We can see that in the equation, there are parenthesis, so we can open those. We open parenthesis by taking the number right next to the parenthesis (or outside the parenthesis) and we multiply that number by everything inside. So this is what it would look like:

-2x^2 - 10x + 8

See how the signs changed? This rule only applies when you multiply something, but here is how I think of it:

+ and + always equals +.

- and - always equals +.

- and + always equals -.

+ and - always equals -.

So that's it! Just to be clear, the answer is:

-2x^2 - 10x + 8

Hope I helped, sorry if I'm wrong!

The graph of a linear function is shown on the grid. (-3,3.6) (5,2) What is the rate of change of y with respect to x for this f
lilavasa [31]

Answer:

rate of change = -0.32

Step-by-step explanation:

Rate of change = slope,m

m =  \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}  \\ m =  \frac{3.6 - 2}{ - 3 - 2}  \\ m =  \frac{1.6}{ - 5}  \\ m =  \frac{ - 0.32}{1}
