Due to the functions they carry out, proteins are essential for the existence of life. Proteins can be found in both animals and vegetables. In animals, there are proteins that help protect the body, others are in charge of regulating metabolism. On the other hand, in plants proteins participate in cell division processes, membrane transport, catalysis of biochemical reactions, photosynthesis and respiration processes, synthesis of sugars, starches, and other compounds.
