Answer:

A. Grandmother.

B. 0

Explanation:

A. If there is no history of the disease in the family, there were only female unaffected genetic carriers. Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a recessive disease linked to the X chromosome, all man with the mutation will display the disease, since they have only one X chromosome (XY). Women have XX, so, if they inherit an abnormal dystrophin gene, but they have a normal allele on the other X chromosome, they won´t develop the muscular dystrophy.

B. The problem does not state that the woman is a carrier, so, the probability of having a child affected is zero. The disease is linked to the X chromosome, so, sons will not be affected, and daughters would have a copy of the mutated gene, but will not display the symptoms.

Describe the flow of blood in the human body, including each chamber of the heart. Explain how the blood changes as it moves thr
Mama L [17]
How does pulmonary circulation work? In my example below, we will start with the blood not reaching the heart yet. The heart beats around 75 beats a minute. Deoxygenated blood is in the veins, going to the heart. Note that veins will always carry deoxygenated blood, excluding the pulmonary veins. The deoxygenated blood goes into the heart through the superior or inferior vena cava, and goes into the right atrium. It then gets pumped into the right ventricle, and gets pumped through the pulmonary arteries to the lungs to get oxygenated. The blood, now oxygenated, comes back to the heart through the pulmonary veins, into the left atrium. The blood gets pumped from the left atrium to the left ventricle, where it gets pumped through the aorta to all of the body systems. The red blood cells travel through capillaries, which is where most of the gas exchange occurs between body cells and red blood cells. Red blood cells have no nuclei. When the red blood cells are no longer red, but blue due to lack of oxygen, they go back to the heart to get pumped to the lungs, and enter the heart through the superior or inferior vena cava. The cycle starts over. Just like the veins, arteries always carry oxygenated blood, excluding the pulmonary arteries. Also, the right side of the heart will have deoxygenated blood, or blue blood, and the left side of the heart will have oxygenated blood.

for a particular flower the allele for red is domonaniant the allele for white is ressivepunnent square
Papessa [141]

Answer:

The correct answer will be option-The red and white flower alleles are co dominant.

Explanation:

The Mendel suggested that for any trait, the organism contains its alleles which could be dominant and recessive. But there are cases in which multiple alleles exist for the same trait which are neither dominant nor recessive.

Two cases arise due to this in which both the dominant alleles co-exist and show their phenotype effect called "co-dominance" and when both alleles form a new phenotype called 'incomplete dominance".

In the given case, the self-pollination produces red, white and patched flowers as a result of co-dominance because both the alleles show the equal effect on the flower petals (mixed phenotype) and form a flower with red patches or spots on the flower.

Thus, the selected option is the correct answer.
