Valentines Day is this week and you would like to buy her flowers and get her a new vase to keep the flowers fresh. She often fo

rgets to water her flowers and needs a vase that holds a lot of water. In a catalog there are three vases available and you want to purchase the one that holds the most water. The first vase is a cylinder with diameter 10 cm and height 40 cm. The second vase is a cone with base diameter 16 cm and height 45 cm. The third vase is a sphere with diameter 18 cm. Which vase should you purchase? How much more water does the vase with the largest volume hold than the vase with the smallest volume? Hint: Most formulas involving circles need the radius, not the diameter! Answer each part of the question completely. Show how you found the volume of each vase....in other words....show your work.
Which vase should you purchase? Find the volume of each of the vases. How much more water does the largest vase hold than the smallest vase?

at a school there are 10 students taking only chemistry, 9 students taking only physics 5 students taking both, and 16 students
sveticcg [70]

Answer:

If there are 10 students taking only chemistry, 9 students taking only physics, and 5 students only taking both chemisty and 16 students are taking neither; I would add 10+9+5+16=40 (total students) and divide 10/40 (25% chemistry) 9/40 (22.5% physics) 5/40 (12.5% both) 16/40 (40% neither)

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Determine a single event with a single outcome.

2. Identify the total number of outcomes that can occur.

3. Divide the number of events by the number of possible outcomes.
