This is the theory of algebra, to simply the expression we proceed as follows; [sqrt(x-2)+5/sqrt(x-2)]/(x-2) simplifying the numerator we get: sqrt(x-2)+5/sqrt(x-2) =[x-2+5]/sqrt(x-2) =(x+3)/sqrt(x-2) therefore our entire expression will be: [(x+3)/sqrt(x-2)]/(x-2) [(x+3)/(x-2)^(1/2)]*1/(x-2) applying the law if indices we get =(x+3)/(x-2)^(3/2)
