King James II wanted to establish catholicism again, however, the English people invited William of Orange to England and they successfully drove out King James II.

Such revolutions in both EUrope and the US only showed that these groups of people were very fond of having new things happening and weren't afraid of overthrowing the current system if it didn't serve well with the majority of people who were there.
