Which of the following best explains why the Age of Exploration started for many European countries in the late 1400s?
deff fn [24]

Answer:

A. Overland trade routes to Asia were controlled by the Ottoman Empire at that time.

Explanation:

During the 14th Century Ottomans started gaining control over the vast area that included Middle and Near East, Asia Minor, part of Balkan Peninsula. When they took Constantinople in 1453 they dominated the whole Mediterranean. The trade routes were in their control and it was not safe for merchants to pass through that area. That is why the Europeans started searching for a new sea route.

Trava [24]
According to Gordon Allport, intergroup contact is likely to reduce prejudice when group members engage in competitive tasks. This theory makes sense, when people have to compete for something in their home life or work life, they tend to think of things being more fair when there is a competition held to achieve the winning. There is so many prejudice in the work environment now-a-days that it is hard to have employees understand why decisions are rightfully made.

Sal’s dog loves to go on a walk and starts spinning in circles and wagging his tail in excitement when his lead is clipped onto
Tanya [424]

Answer:

Conditioned response

Explanation:

Conditioning learning is an style of learning where a conditioned stimulus is associated with an unconditioned stimulus and they produce a conditioned behavioral response.

In this learning, at first, the unconditioned stimulus produces the unconditioned response (and this means that a stimulus produces a response in a natural way), then the unconditioned stimulus is paired with the conditioned stimulus that does not produce the response on its own but once it's paired with the unconditioned stimulus and after some repetitions, the response is produce in presence of the unconditioned stimulus and it is called now conditioned response.

In this example, the unconditioned response is the spinning in circles and wagging his tail in excitement. The unconditioned stimulus is the lead clipped onto his collar. The unconditioned stimulus is Sal's putting his tennis shoes before a walk and the dog behavior of spinning in circles when he does that is now the conditioned response.

Sal's dog associated Sal's putting his tennis shoes with going for walks and that's why he acts excited now as soon as he puts on his shoes.
