Which best describes the transformation that occurs from the graph of f(x)=x^2 to g(x)=(x+3)^2+4?
guajiro [1.7K]
If you have a graph of the function f(x)=x^2, then you should do such transformations to get graph of the function g(x)=(x+3)^2+4:
1. translate the graph of the function f(x)=x^2 3 units left, then you get the graph of the function y=(x+3)^2;
2. translate the graph of the function y=(x+3)^2 4 units up, then you get the graph of the function y=(x+3)^2+4.

Evaluate function for x=2 and x=7 when f(x)= -4x+61
777dan777 [17]

f(x) = -4x +61\\\\f(2) = -4(2) +61 = 53 \\\\f(7) = -4(7) +61 =33

Pat has two sheets of large, square stamps. One sheet consists of $9$ stamps arranged in a $3$-by-$3$ square. (That's $3$ stamps
ki77a [65]
Given:
3 stamps by 3 stamps. total length of crease is 18 inches
6 stamps by 6 stamps.

I illustrated the stamps and found the in the 3 stamps by 3 stamps sheet, there are 4 lines that follows the crease.

18 inches / 4 crease line = 4.50
4.50 / 3 stamps  = 1.50 size of the stamps.

I also illustrated the 6 stamps by 6 stamps and found that 10 crease lines will be formed.

6 stamps * 10 lines = 60 lines
60 x 1.50 = 90 total length of the crease in the 2nd sheet.

There are 11. 5 ounces of cereal in a container. Additional cereal is poured into the container at a rate of 2. 25 ounces per se
mars1129 [50]

The number of ounces that can be found in the container will be 20.5 ounces.

Based on the information given, we are informed that there are 11. 5 ounces of cereal in a container and an additional cereal is poured into the container at a rate of 2.25 ounces per second.

Therefore, the number of ounces after 4 seconds will be:

= 11.5 + 2.25(4)

= 11.5 + 9.

= 20.5
