I cant exactly help with this, but you can input each equation into the website desmos.com to get the graph for it to help compare with the other functions. as for the fourth function, the equation would be y=3x+1. the slope for function 2 is 5, function 3, -4, and function 1, -1. the slope for the fourth would be 3. sorry if this answer is scattered all over the place but i hope it helped!!

A drainage basin bordering the sea has an area of 7500 km2 . The average precipitation for this drainage basin is 900 mm year-1
Alexxx [7]

Answer with Step-by-step explanation:

The basic water balance dictates that "Amount of water flowing into the basin should be equal to the amount of water flowing out of it".

Mathematically

Water_{in}=Water_{out}\\\\P=E+Q+I

where

P = precipitation

I = Infiltration losses in the basin

E = Evapotranspiration

Q = is outflow from the basin

Applying the given values we get

900=E+\frac{22.5\times 10^{8}}{7500\times 10^{6}}\times 1000+100\\\\900=E+300+100

Part b)

From the above equation we get

E=900-400=500mm/year

The evaporation in cubic meters per year is

E'=0.5\times 7500\times 10^{6}=3750\times 10^{6}m^3/year

(2m+3)(4m-3)=0 solve by factoring
Vesna [10]
This equation has already been factored as far as possible.  To find the roots m, first let 2m+3=0 and then solve for m:  -3/2.  Next, let 4m-3=0 and solve for m.

Peter Schmidt ordered sandwiches and salads for a luncheon meeting. The sandwiches cost three times as much as a salads. The tot
evablogger [386]

EXPLANATION

Let's see the facts:

$Sandwiches= 3*$Salads

Bill = $24.92

We can represent this in an equation:

Total Bill = Sandwiches + Salads

Let's call to Sandwiches "x" to Salads "y" and to Bill "B"

Then, the equation will be:

B = x+y = (3*y) + y

Applying distributive property:

24.92 = 3y + y

Adding similar terms:

24.92 = 4y

Dividing both sides by 4:

6.23 = y

Switching:

y=6.23

As we know, y variable represent the salads cost, so:

Answer is $6.23.
