X is equal to 48

First subtract 4 from both the sides to get
-x/3 = 16
Then multiply both sides by 3 to get x alone
-x = 48
Now divide the both sides by -1, since we can't have x being negative to get
X = 48
Hope this helps:)

1. Change x = 4t into x = 3t

4t\cdot\frac{3}{4}=3t so

y=(\frac{3}{4}t)^2-1=\frac{9}{16}t^2-1

Answer A and D are wrong.

2. Change x = 4t into x = 2t

4t\cdot\frac{1}{2}=2t and

y=(\frac{1}{2}t)^2-1=\frac{t^2}{4}-1

Answer b is correct.

3.  Change x = 4t into x = 8t

4t\cdot2=8t and

y=(2t)^2-1=4t^2-1

Answer C. is correct, E. is wrong.

Surface area of a cube = 486 square inches

Solution:

Given each side of a cube = 9 inches

Net of a cube has 6 squares.

Area of square = side × side

Area of 1 square = 9 × 9 = 81 square inches

Surface area of a cube = Area of 6 squares

                                      = 6 × (side × side)

                                      = 6 × 81

                                      = 486 square inches

Hence, surface area of a cube is 486 square inches.
