Answer:

Explanation:

Note: The table containing the data is attached as a file to this solution.

Also note that the values are given in percentages in the table, the decimal equivalents of those values are used in this calculation.

a)

i) Allele Frequency in the Inuit population

M allele frequency

= 0.835+(0.156/2)  = 0.913

N allele frequency

= 0.009 + (0.156/2)  = 0.087

ii) Allele frequency in Navojo Indian population

M allele frequency

= 0.845+0.072  = 0.917

N allele frequency

= 0.011+0.072  = 0.083

iii) Allele frequency  In Finn population

M allele frequency

= 0.457+0.2155  = 0.6725

N allele frequency

= 0.112+0.2155  = 0.3275

iv)Allele frequency  In Russian population

M allele frequency

= 0.399+0.22  = 0.619

N allele frequency

= 0.161+0.22  = 0.381

v) Allele frequency  In Aborigines

M allele frequency

= 0.024+0.152   = 0.176

N allele frequency

= 0.672 + 0.152   = 0.824

b)

We can observe that the sum of the frequencies of M and N alleles in each of the populations above is 1. Therefore, all the populations are in Hardy Weinberg's equilibrium.

c)

It can be again observed that the M and N allele frequencies of the Finn and the Russian population are almost the same, then it is safe to say that the Finn and Russian population have had significant intermixing due to migration.

Ivenika [448]

Answer:

Instructions are listed below

Explanation:

Giving the following information:

The high-low method involves taking the highest level of activity and the lowest level of activity and comparing the total costs at each level.

Mountain has recorded the following for the past nine months:

January:

Number of Cavities= 375

Total cost= $5,300

February:

Number of Cavities  500

TC= 5,850

March

Number of Cavities 350

TC= 5,200

April

Number of Cavities 600

TC=6,250

May

Number of Cavities 325

TC= 5,150

June

Number of Cavities 475

TC= 5,700

July

Number of Cavities 525

TC= 6,100

August

Number of Cavities  575

TC= 6,300

September

Number of Cavities  450

TC= 5,550

A) Variable cost= (Highest activity cost - lowest activity cost) / (Highest activity units - lowest activity units)

Variable cost= (6300 - 5150) / (600 - 325)= 4.18 per unit

Fixed cost= HACost - (variable cost per unit * HAUnits)= 6300 - (4.18*600)= 3792

Fixed cost= LACost - (variable cost per unit* LAUnits)= 5150 - (4.18*325)= 3792

B)  Q= 400

Total cost= 3792 + 4.18*400= $5464

Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

The correct answer is letter "C": produces products that are considered elastic.

Explanation:

Elasticity refers to the sensitivity of a good or service to reflect change in its supply or demand after a change in price. A product's supply is said to be elastic if the changes in the quantity supplied increases and it immediately determines a price in the price.

Thus, if for technological reasons the output of a company increases, considering that the product is elastic, the prices will increases which will provide the organization more revenue. That firm will be more than glad about the technological advance.

AlladinOne [14]

Answer:

The correct answer is b. Regressive coping.

Explanation:

Coping. This concept has been important in the field of psychology for more than 40 years. During the years 1940 and 1950 it meant an organizational concept in the description and clinical evaluation and, at present, it constitutes the center of a whole series of psychotherapies and educational programs that aim to develop adaptive resources. The issue of coping has also received a lot of attention in the media, as can be seen by flipping through the index of any magazine, book sales lists or programming guides. Actually, the word coping is both a colloquial and scientific term. Despite its prolific history and its current popularity, there is still a lack of coherence regarding theories, research and understanding of the subject. Even the most superficial review of what is written by both scholars and laymen, already reveals confusion regarding the meaning of coping and its role in the adaptation process.
