C because #1, you have to hyphenate fractions, #2 it's incorrect to put actual numbers in sentences and #3 it would be towards the anniversary gift, not toward.

The answer is C, because for this problem, you need a hyphen to separate the fraction.

Based on thу excerpt from F. Scott Fitzgerald's "Winter Dreams," represented above, I think that the third option from the attached scale clearly shows the meaning of the word priggish. I am pretty sure that obnoxious is the most suitable word to explain the meaning of the whole phrase, but if you are not so sure, check it in dictionary. We can see here that rhetorical device other than antithesis that can also be found in the Gettysburg Address excerpt is: Repetition.

What is rhetorical device?

In Literature, a rhetorical device refers to the device or technique that is used by speakers or writers in order to convey meanings to the listeners or readers and with an aim to persuade them to take a particular action. Rhetorical devices tend to use persuasive means in reaching to the targeted audience and making them to carry out a particular action.

Some rhetorical devices that writers employ are:

 • Pathos
 • Repetition
 • Ethos
 • Kairos
 • Logos, etc.

There devices are seen in writing and written art works.

We see here that in the given passage, the author makes use of repetition to create a rhythmic flow. We see it in: "...and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."
