Answer:

B. It allows for fairless electors, or electors eho do not vote according to the wishes of their states

Explanation:

Voters in every state, like the whole country, expect electors who are eligible to represent the state in the Electoral College will vote in accordance with the will of the majority of voters in that state (and in the states of Maine and Nebraska also in accordance with the will of the majority of voters in each election constituency of the state). However, in accordance with the US Constitution, each elector has the right to vote at his own discretion and even put to the ballot box a blank ballot when voting in the Electoral College.

For example, in the 1988 election, Michael Dukakis was nominated for the United States Democratic candidate, and Lloyd Benson was nominated for the United States Vice President. However, one of the electors of the US presidential candidate for the Democratic Party voted for Lloyd Benson as President of the United States, and for Michael Dukakis as Vice President of the United States. In the 1976 election, Gerald Ford was nominated by the Republican Party's presidential candidate, winning this right by a slight margin over Ronald Reagan as a result of the primary Republican election. However, one of the Republican Party candidate electors voted for Ronald Reagan as president of the United States.
