Answer:

Length of the arc of this sector, l = 14 cm

Explanation:

It is given that, the perimeter of a sector of a circle is the sum of the two sides formed by the radii and the length of the included arc.

Perimeter of sector, P = 28 cm

Area of sector, A=49\ cm^2

According to figure,

2r + l = 28 ............(1)

Area of sector, A=\dfrac{\theta}{360}\times \pi r^2

Where, \theta is in radian and \theta=\dfrac{l}{r}

Since, 1^{\circ}=\dfrac{\pi}{180}\ radian

A=\dfrac{l}{2\pi r}\times \pi r^2

r=\dfrac{98}{l}

Put the value of r in equation (1) so,

2\times (\dfrac{98}{l})+l=28

l^2-28l+196=0

On solving above equation for l we get, l = 14 cm. So, the length of the arc of this sector is 14 cm. Hence, this is the required solution.

Car A has a mass of 1,000 kg and is traveling 60 km/hr. Car B has a mass of 2,000 kg and is traveling 30 km/hr. Compare the kine
Artyom0805 [142]

Answer:

c) Twice as much

Explanation:

As we know that kinetic energy is given by the formula

K = \frac{1}{2}mv^2

here we know that

m = mass of the object

v = speed of the object

so here we will have kinetic energy of Car A

K = \frac{1}{2}(1000)(60^2)

K_a = 1.8 \times 10^6

now we have kinetic energy of B is given as

K_b = \frac{1}{2}(2000)(30^2)

K_b = 0.9 \times 10^6

So kinetic energy of Car A is double that of Kinetic energy of car B

Two circular coils are concentric and lie in the same plane. The inner coil contains 140 turns of wire, has a radius of 0.015 m,
Whitepunk [10]

Given Information:

Current = Ii = 7.2 A

Number of turns inner coil = Ni = 140

Number of turns outer coil = No = 180

Radius inner coil = ri = 0.015 m

Radius outer coil = ro = 0.023 m

Required Information:

outer coil current = Io = ?

Answer:

Io = 8.6 A

Step-by-step explanation:

We have two coils, subscript i denotes inner coil and o denotes the outer coil.

According to the Biot-Savart Law

B = μ₀IN/2r

we will equate the inner and outer magnetic fields

Bi=Bo

μ₀IiNi/2ri  = μ₀IoNo/2ro

μ₀ and 2 cancels out

Io = Ii*Ni*ro/No*ri

Io = 7.2*140*0.023/180*0.015

Io = 8.6 A

Therefore, a current of 8.6 A is needed to flow in opposite direction so that the magnetic field is opposite and the net magnetic field will be zero.
