As per the question we have been given the element platinum.we are asked to calculate the number of protons and electrons of the neutral atom just before platinum in the periodic table.

A neutral atom is that atom which has no charge. It is so as it contains same number of protons and neutrons.

Before going get our solution first we have to know something about the atomic number of an element.The atomic number of an element is defined as the number of protons present inside the nucleus or the number of electrons present in a stable isolated atom which is neutral in nature.

Hence atomic number Z= Number of protons= number of electrons in an neutral atom.

we know that platinum is present in 6th period of the modern periodic table.The atomic number of platinum is 78.Hence the element which comes just before platinum and  neutral is Iridium. It has an atomic number of 77.

Hence the number protons present inside it's nucleus is 77.

A neutral atom of Iridium must contain 77 number of electrons.

Hence a neutral atom of the element  which comes just before platinum has 77 protons and 77 electrons.

We are tasked to identify the number of electrons and the number of protons under the condition of neutral atoms. We already know that the molecular weight of platinum is 195.06 and the atomic number is 78. Therefore, a neutral atom of the element that comes just come before platinum in the periodic table has 78 electrons and 78 protons.

05. The time required to complete one lap around a perfectly circular track having a radius of 1,835 meters is 86
likoan [24]

Answer:

v = 134.06 m/s

Explanation:

Given that,

Radius of a circular track is 1,835 m

Time required to complete one lap around a perfectly circular track is 86 seconds

We need to find the car's velocity. Velocity is equal to,

v=d/t

On circular path,

v=\dfrac{2\pi r}{t}\\\\v=\dfrac{2\pi \times 1835}{86}\\\\v=134.06\ m/s

So, car's velocity is 134.06 m/s.

According to the "Law of Increasing Opportunity Costs," what would be the opportunity cost of a student who is staying up all ni
kodGreya [7K]

C. The opportunity cost of a student who is staying up all night to study for an exam that he has to take in the early morning is sleep or rest.

<h3>What is law of opportunity cost?</h3>

The law of increasing opportunity cost is an economic principle that describes how opportunity costs increase as resources are applied.

As the student gives up his sleep or night rest in the place of his exam preparation, we say that the opportunity cost is the sleep or rest.

Thus, the opportunity cost of a student who is staying up all night to study for an exam that he has to take in the early morning is sleep or rest.

The component that allows a car to execute complex maneuvers is __________ .
Charra [1.4K]
The anti-lock braking system (ABS) is a car component that enables the driver to execute complex maneuvers. Furthermore, it allows shifting the position of your car when driving on highways because of its ability to "maintain traction." It also can decrease the kinetic energy of your car when you want to make it decelerated.

Andrew [12]

Answer:

28 N

Explanation:

According to Newton's second law of motion

The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object.

in another form,

Force = mass * acceleration

assuming mass is a constant since considering the same object , we can say

Force ∝ acceleration

\frac{F_1}{F_2} =\frac{a_1}{a_2}\\ \\\frac{63}{F_2} =\frac{9}{4} \\F_2=28 N
