The fraction shows 2/11 pieces were left.

This means, the birthday cake was divided into 11 pieces, 9 of them were eaten and 2 pieces were not eaten.

To ensure this we can add the fraction 2/11 (pieces left) and 9/11(pieces eaten). Since this results in 1 i.e. a whole cake, total pieces of the cake were 11

Thus the answer to this question is 2.

The answer is D) 2

Since it is given that there have been 9 slices eaten, we can assume that whatever amount of slices were cut in total will have 9 reduced from the amount. With the fraction 2/11, we know 11-9=2, which fits perfectly into this description so 2 slices have not been eaten.

A factory employs several thousand workers, of whom 35% are Hispanic. If the 17 members of the union executive committee were ch
Elza [17]

Answer:

as p decreases, sigma decreases.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that 35%are hispanic. For a sample of 17 members

n = 17

p = 0.35

and the number of Hispanics on the committee would have the binomial distribution

a) Mean of X = E(x) = np = 17(0.35)\\= 5.95

b) Std dev X = \sqrt{npq} =\sqrt{5.95(0.65)} \\=1.9665

c) Here n =17 and p =0.1

Mean = 1.7\\\sigma = \sqrt{17(0.1)(0.9)} =1.234

d) When p = 0.01

Mean = 0.17\\\sigma = 0.410

Thus we find that as p decreases, sigma decreases.

find the length of each isosceles right triangle when the hypotenuse of the given measure given 5 to the square root of 6
iragen [17]

In isosceles right triangle, legs are equal. Let each leg is of x units . And the given hypotenuse is 5 square 6. We use pythagorean identity here, which is

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

Where a=b=x and c= 5 square root 6

x^2 +x^2 =(5 \sqrt6)^2

2x^2 = 150

x^2 =75

x= 5 \sqrt 3

And that's the length of both the legs . ANd that's the required answer .

If a polynomial cannot be written as the product of two other polynomials (excluding 1 and minus−1), then the polynomial is sa
Anni [7]
In mathematics, a polynomial is an algebraic expression containing more than two terms. When the polynomial could not be reduced to a lower degree, it is classified as a prime polynomial. Just like whole numbers, a prime polynomial cannot be broken down into factors except 1 and by the number itself. Take for example, the polynomial x² + 5x + 6. It can be reduces to its factors x=-2 and -3. That would be expressed to x² + 5x + 6 = (x+2)(x+3). But if the polynomial is, say, x² + 5x + 7, there is no roots that are whole numbers. Therefore, it can't be reduced into factored groups because it is a prime polynomial.
