Answer:

300 min or 5 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

so if it pumps 0.5 gallons per minute than in 2 minutes it would pump 1 whole gallon so with that we know 1gallon=2 minutes.

so with that we multipy both sides by 150 which will be 150 galons=300 minutes or 5 hours

The nth term of a quadratic sequence is:
anzhelika [568]
We can work out the first three terms of this quadratic equation with substitution.
The first term of this sequence is where n=1, we can substitute 1 in for n
y=1^2+2(1)-4
y=1+2-4
y=-1
We can do this for the next two terms as well
y=2^2+2(2)-4
y=4+4-4
y=4
For the last term:
y=3^2+2(3)-4
y=9+6-4
y=11

Margaret's bottle of shampoo is seven eights phone. She uses 1/3 of the shampoo in the bottle to wash the dog. Estimate what fra
guajiro [1.7K]

Fraction of shampoo left =  \frac{13}{24}

Solution:

Given fraction of full shampoo =\frac{7}{8}.

Fraction of shampoo Margaret used =\frac{1}{3}

Fraction of shampoo left = Full shampoo – fraction of shampoo used

                                           $=\frac{7}{8}-\frac{1}{3}$

To make the denominators same do cross multiplication.

                                           \begin{aligned}&=\frac{7 \times 3}{8 \times 3}-\frac{1 \times 8}{3 \times 8}\\&=\frac{21}{24}-\frac{8}{24}\\&=\frac{21-8}{24}\\&=\frac{13}{24}\end{aligned}

Hence $\frac{13}{24}$ of the shampoo bottle is left.
