The bus let off 3 people, so, the total number of remaining people on the bus = P_0-5-3

=P_0-8

After the second stop, the number of people on the bus is P_0-8, where P_0 number of peoples on the bus before 2:30 stop.

Hence, the number of people on the bus after the second stop is 8 less than the number of peoples on the bus before the 2:30 stop.
