25 problems = 100%
Anytime you have to find a percent of something, just take whatever 100% is and multiple it by the decimal form of the percent (hopefully that makes sense)

To find out what 88% of the problems are, you would multiple 25 x .88. The answer would be 22.

Its easy, see
Number of problems = 25
Percentage correct = 88%
Therefore, number of problems correct = 88% of 25
88/100 × 25 = 22

Just remember, when percentage comes take it upon hundred and multiply by the total number given.

1.) Tyler runs 2/3 of a mile in 8 minutes. At this speed, how long will it take him to run one mile?
Masja [62]

Answer:

12 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Since he ran 2/3 of a mile in 8 minutes, by dividing both sides by two we can see that he ran 1/3 in 4 minutes. 1/3 x 3 = 1 mile. 4 x 3 = 12 minutes

bixtya [17]

Answer:

4,913 people more per sq mile.

Step-by-step explanation:

First step is to calculate the population density of both cities, then we'll be able to answer the question.

We're looking for a number of people per sq mile... so we'll divide the population by the area.

Honolulu: 348,000 people on 68.4 sq miles

DensityH = 348,000 / 68.4 =  5,088 persons/sq mile

Anchorage: 298,000 people on 1,706 sq miles

DensityA = 298,000 /1 ,706 = 175 persons/sq mile

Then we do the difference...  5,088 - 175 = 4,913 more people per sq mile.

VladimirAG [237]

Definitions:

Perpendicular bisector: A line that bisects (split into two equal parts) a line segment at a right angle (90°)

Angle bisector: A line that bisects a angle.

Median of a triangle: Line segment drawn from a vertex to the middpoint of the opposite side to the vertex.

Altitude of a triangle: Perpendicular segment form a vertex of a triangle to the opposite side.

a) With the given information you can describe FI as:

Median of triangle FGH:

Line segment drawn from a vertex (F) to the middpoint of the opposite side to the vertex (GH). The two marks in red indicates that the segments have the same measure (then the point I is the middpoint of the side GH.

Theres is not indication of a perpendicular angle, or a bisection of the angle. Then you can not describe FI as any of the other options.
