Dilatation is the transformation that produces and image that is the same shape as the original, but different size. So, in order to find the dilatation of a triangle, you need to multiplícate by a scale factor the given coordinates. An ex: A'(0,2), B'(2,-1), and C'(-2,-2) , lets say that you are going to múltiple by 2, the formula would be (2x, 2y), and the results will be A'(0,4) B'(4,-2), C' (-4,-4).

Find p.<br> 30°<br> O<br> 60°<br> 7 in
viva [34]

Answer:

p = 14 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

using either the sine or cosine ratios

using the sine ratio and the exact value

sin30° = \frac{1}{2} , then

sin30° = \frac{opposite}{hypotenuse} = \frac{7}{p} = \frac{1}{2} ( cross- multiply )

p = 14

<u>Algebra I</u>

  • Solving systems of equations using substitution/elimination

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define Systems</u>

-x - 2y = 2

4x - 2y = -8

<u>Step 2: Rewrite Systems</u>

-x - 2y = 2

  1. Multiply both sides by -1:                    x + 2y = -2

<u>Step 3: Redefine Systems</u>

x + 2y = -2

4x - 2y = -8

<u>Step 4: Solve for </u><em><u>x</u></em>

<em>Elimination</em>

  1. Combine equations:                    5x = -10
  2. Divide 5 on both sides:                x = -2

<u>Step 5: Solve for </u><em><u>y</u></em>

  1. Define equation:                    4x - 2y = -8
  2. Substitute in <em>x</em>:                       4(-2) - 2y = -8
  3. Multiply:                                  -8 - 2y = -8
  4. Isolate <em>y</em> term:                        -2y = 0
  5. Isolate <em>y</em>:                                 y = 0
