Answer:

100 percent increase

Step-by-step explanation:

1st garden

Length = 6 ft

Width = 4 ft

Perimeter = 2 (l+w)

                 = 2 (6+4) = 2(10) = 20

2nd garden

The length and width are 2 times the 1st garden

Length = 2 *6 = 12

Width = 2 *4 = 8

Perimeter = 2 (l+w)

                 = 2 (12+8) = 2(20) = 40

Percent change = (new - old )/old * 100 percent

The 1st garden is the old garden = 20 and the 2nd garden is the new garden = 40

Substituting in

Percent change = (40-20)/20 = 20/20 =100 *100 percent

                            = 100 percent increase

show all work. write a recursive formula for the arithmetic sequence {an} = {2.6, 4, 5.4, 6.8, 8.2, ...}
damaskus [11]

Answer:

  • a₁ = 2.6
  • aₙ = aₙ₋₁ + 1.4

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

The arithmetic sequence

  • {aₙ} = {2.6, 4, 5.4, 6.8, 8.2, ...}

We can see the common difference is d = 1.4

The formula for this sequence is:

  • a₁ = 2.6
  • aₙ = aₙ₋₁ + 1.4

Given the diagram below, what is sin (30°) ?
marshall27 [118]

Answer:

A.  1/2.

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of the sides of a 30-60-90 triangle is 2:1:√3 where 2 is the hypotenuse. 1 is the shortest leg and √3 is the longest leg.

In the diagram we see that the longest leg is opposite the 60 degree angle.

So the longest leg is 3.5√x and the shortest leg ( from applying the ratios) = 3.5√x / √3.

and the hypotenuse is 2 * 3.5√x / √3 (using the ratios again).

So sin  30 = shortest leg / hypotenuse =  3.5√x / √3 /  2 *  3.5√x / √3

= 1/2.

I NEED HELP ASAP
Answer these two questions I am confused. Number 17 and 18.
devlian [24]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Question 17

y-y1 = m (x-x1 )

so basically you plug in the (x,y) to y1 and x1 place

Remeber always times it by -1

so answer would be

y-2 = -1/3 (x+4)

Question 18

Pretend its 3x+2y =8

you need to find x or y first im going to find y first

so

- 2y = -3x +8

divide by 2 to isolate y

y = -3/2x - 4

plug it back into the equation

3x + 2(-3/2x) - 4

the x will cancel

so y= -4

Then

plug in the -4 in place of y

SO the Answer is YES because y is horizontal there is -4 = there will be (-3, -4)!

Wewaii [24]
To find out how much Marie will save you have to multiply the 20% with the original praise which is $40.00. So we’ll change the 20% to 0.20 to multiply it with 40.

0.20 x 40 = 8

So Marie will save $8.00 using the coupon
