The competitiveness of a good usually depends on two key factors: its price, and its quality. While poor quality goods are less competitive from a quality perspective but poor quality goods are usually cheaper to produce resulting to a lower final price. So overall, the lower the cost and the higher the quality the more competitive a good is.

Equipment maintenance costs for manufacturing explosion-proof pressure switches are projected to be $125,000 in year 1 and incre
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

The equivalent uniform annual worth of the maintenance costs at an interest rate of 10% per year, compounded semiannually is $127,432

Explanation:

In order to calculate the equivalent uniform annual worth of the maintenance costs at an interest rate of 10% per year, compounded semiannually we would have to calculate the following formula:

equivalent uniform annual worth of the maintenance costs= P(i(1+i)∧n/(1+i)∧n-1

The rate of interest i would be as follows:

rate of interest i=(1+10%/2)-1

rate of interest i=0.1025*100

rate of interest i=10.25%

The present value P would be calculated as follows:

present value P=$125,000(1-(1+1/100)∧5 (1+10.25/100)∧-5/(10.25/100-1/100)

present value P=$125,000*3.84

present value P=$480,000

Therefore,

equivalent uniform annual worth of the maintenance costs=$480,000*(10.25/100 (1+10.25/100)∧5/(1+10.25/100)∧5-1)

equivalent uniform annual worth of the maintenance costs=$480,000*0.2654

equivalent uniform annual worth of the maintenance costs=$127,432

The equivalent uniform annual worth of the maintenance costs at an interest rate of 10% per year, compounded semiannually is $127,432

Melanie is very concerned with avoiding late fees. The table shows her choices for paying her bills. Method Bill Payment Methods
sp2606 [1]
<span>The answer is 3 Set up automatic payments. Automatic payments can be done through direct access to ATM that receives the salary or bank account. This can help people like Melanie to avoid having trouble with late payments that would incur penalties. Paying by check would not be a good option because you should make sure there is enough money to pay for that purchase if not there could be more trouble. Paying through phone or online payments are sometimes delayed before it reaches the concerned company.

Whitepunk [10]

Answer:

The amount of total assets of Kirk Corporation at the end of the month is $ 871,400

Explanation:

Total assets at January 1 = $864,000

Equipment purchased = $ 7,400

Supplies purchased = $ 3,640

Cash paid for supplies = $ 3,640

Cost of land sold = $16,400

Cash received from Land sold = $16,400

Therefore total amount of cash out = $ 16,400 + $3,640 = $ $20,040

Total amount of cash in =  $ 7,400 + $ 3,640 + $16,400 = $27,440

Amount of total assets at the end of the month = $864,000 + $27,440 - $20,040 = $ 871,400
