Answer:

(a) the time needs for her to cross the river is 2736.8 s.

(b) the distance takes to reach the other side of the river is 2490.5 m.

Explanation:

given information:

woman's speed, v₁ = 1.9 m/s

the wide of river, s = 5.2 km = 5200 m

river's current, v₂ = 0.91 m/s

(a) How much time does it take her to cross the river?

s = v t

s = the displacement (m)

v = speed (m/s)

t = time (s)

s = v t

t = s/v

 = 5200/1.9

 = 2736.8 s

(b) How far downstream will the river carry her by the time she reaches the other side of the river?

s = v t

  = (0.91) (2736.8)

  = 2490.5 m

Answer:

442.36038 m or 1451.31362 ft

Explanation:

P_1 = Initial pressure = 30.15 inHg

P_2 = Final pressure = 28.607 inHg

\rho = Density of air  = 0.075 lb/ft³

1\ lb/ft^3=16.0185\ kg/m^3

1\ in=0.0254\ m

1\ m=3.28084\ ft

Density of mercury = 13560 kg/m³

g = Acceleration due to gravity = 9.81 m/s²

Difference in pressure is given by

P_1-P_2=\rho gh\\\Rightarrow h=\frac{P_1-P_2}{\rho g}\\\Rightarrow h=\frac{(30.15-28.607)\times 13560\times 0.0254\times 9.81}{0.075\times 16.0185\times 9.81}\\\Rightarrow h=442.36038\ m\\\Rightarrow h=442.36038\times 3.28084\\\Rightarrow h=1451.31362\ ft

The height of the building is 442.36038 m or 1451.31362 ft

Aaron's normal response time to apply the car brakes is 0.7 seconds. Aaron's response time doubles when he is tired. How far wil
Likurg_2 [28]

Aaron's car is moving at speed of 30 m/s

His reaction time is given as 0.7 s

but when he is tired the reaction time is doubled

Now we need to find the distance covered by his car when he is tired during the time when he react to apply brakes

So here since during this time speed is given as constant so we can say that distance covered can be product of speed and time

So here we can use

d = v*t

d = 30 * 1.4

d = 42 m

So the car will move to 42 m during the time when he apply brakes

Which is an example of a covalent bond?
velikii [3]
The correct answer is definitely C. There are less than 16 valence electrons in 2 chlorine atoms, but they form a stable bond because a covalent bond should involve <span>a pair of electrons between atoms in a molecule. I thing it's pretty clear. Regards!</span>
