In muscles, ATP is generated by glycolysis from two sources of glucose. One source is glucose that is broken down from glycogen
fgiga [73]

Answer:

The answer is B a net 2 ATPs are always generated per glucose regardless of its source

Explanation

Glycogen breaks down in the muscle so as to have enough glucose for muscle contraction and it produces 2ATPs

Glycogen also breaks down in the liver to release enough glucose which gets to the blood stream and is then taken up by other cells. It also produces 2ATPs at the expense of 6ATPs

why do plant cells occasionally switch from noncyclic electron flow (nef) to cyclic electron flow (cef)?
Blizzard [7]

Creating a proton gradient across the thylakoid membrane in higher plants uses cyclic electron flow (CEF), which primarily serves two purposes: (1) producing ATP and balancing the ATP/NADPH energy budget; and (2) defending photosystems I and II from photoinhibition.

ATP and NADPH are produced by noncyclic electron transport. The single product of cyclic electron transport was ATP. Both steps are required by a plant to produce the required amount of ATP for the Calvin Cycle. The electrons are released by photosystem I and then brought back into the system during cyclic photophosphorylation. However, in non-cyclic photophosphorylation, the electrons that the photosystems emit do not come back.

Humus creates good soil tilth, which is an indirect benefit of microorganism action.
stiv31 [10]

Answer: True.

Explanation:

Humus are decayed dead plants and animals in the soil. They are decayed organic matter(plants and animals). They are formed by the incorporation of plants and animals matter in the soil by the action of microorganisms. Humus provide nutrients for the soil, increase soil porosity and create good soil tilth. The good soil with help microganisms to perform their actions in the soil and improve soil structure.
