If maggots were spontaneously being produced by meat, both of the meat in a sealed and opened jar would have maggots in them. A spontaneous process would happen without any external force. Hence, whether the jar is sealed or otherwise, the spontaneous appearance of maggots in a jar with meat would still happen.
