American Indians also reacted strongly in helping the European powers because they found that the Europeans had extremely strong weapons (i.e muskets, cannons) and, if they were able to help the Europeans win (French or English), they could be rewarded with the weapons, and use it to attack other tribes and have dominance over their regions
