Answer:

d. competitive exclusion

Explanation:

The amount of individuals of a given species that the resources of an environment can support is called the carrying capacity. The density of a population is often less than its carrying capacity when it is limited by predators. If predators are withdrawn, the population may increase to the point of carrying capacity or beyond so that crucial resources are insufficient and the population collapses.

Competitive exclusion has little effect on the carrying capacity of an ecosystem, because if two species are using a common food source, which has little source, the growth of one may deprive the other of its food source. Under some conditions the fastest growing species causes the other population to die and prevents the environment from reaching the limit of carrying capacity.

Answer: D. Competitive exclusion

Explanation:

This is because the competitive exclusion theory states that two organisms that compete for the same resource can't co exist. It doesn't effect the carrying capacity.

Harry is a healthy man who is 30 years of age. using this information, calculate his approximate target heart rate zone for mode
klemol [59]
Answer: 95 to 133 bpm

The equation for maximum heart rate would be:
max HR= 220- age
max HR= 220-30= 190

The equation to find the target for heart beat in medium intensity exercise would be:
target HR= max HR * 50-70%= 190 * 50-70%= 95 to 133 bpm

Why can a female only pass on an X chromosome to offspring
shusha [124]

Answer:

Why can a female only pass on an X chromosome to offspring?

It is an established fact that female has XX chromosomes while male has XY chromosomes, during fertilization both male and female donate one of the pairs to form a pair of allele for the offspring. The female donate an X chromosome since the two chromosomes in her possession is XX while the male donate either of the X or Y chromosome
