Answer:

Mass of the object

Explanation:

Mass is the amount of matter in a body or object that is measured on a balance. The weight is calculated by the formula mass x gravity. However, gravity changes according of where we are. In short, weight is the force of attraction of a planet on a body located on its surface.

According to newton's law of gravitation, it is the force of mutual attraction that bodies experience by having a certain mass. The force of attraction experienced by two bodies endowed with mass is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance that separates them (law of the inverse of the square of the distance). This means, gravity changes with change in distance from Earth's radius.

So in short, only mass doesn't change and it is the independent factor. Whereas weight and gravity will change. Because the greater the distance between two objects, the lesser the force of gravity. And the lesser the force of gravity, the lesser the weight will be even if the mass is the same.

Matings between individuals from the two populations of Rhagoletis produce hybrid flies that appear to be healthy and have norma
Mama L [17]

The correct answer is : C.

Explanation:

 • According to the question, mating between two populations of Rhagoletis produce hybrid flies.
 • This means that the two population is present in the same habitat or locality, hence they are capable of coming in contact with each other and mate. Hence, the answer cannot be Habitat Isolation.
 • Mating produces hybrid flies. This is possible when the gametes (egg and sperm) of the two different populations are capable of capable of coming close to each other and undergoing fusion (fertilization). Hence, there is no Mechanical Isolation.
 • The zygote formed by the above fertilization is capable of developing into healthy hybrid flies with normal life span. Hence, Pre-zygotic Isolation is absent.
 • But the hybrid flies formed are sterile and not fertile, that is, they are incapable of producing viable gametes which can undergo fertilization and produce a new offspring. Therefore, the eggs laid by the hybrid flies hatch less often. Hence, there is existence of Reduced hybrid fertility.

What can be said about the diversity of life in the high tide zone compared to that of the low tide zone?
Airida [17]

Answer:

B. There is less biodiversity in the high tide zone because the tidal changes make survival difficult.

Explanation:

The high tide and low tide zones are located on the seashore as the ocean water merges with land.

High tide zones are usually covered with water during high ocean tide while low tide zones are always submerged in water.

There is low biodiversity in the high tide zone because the tide here changes rapidly and organisms find it difficult to adapt. Organisms that inhabit here must be welll adapted to withstand peroids of high tides.
