Let us suppose a system of two equations with two unknowns.

Suppose further that the system of equations is linearly independent.

When the system of equations has a variable that has exactly the same coefficient in both equations, then the most effective method to solve the system of equations is subtracting.

This is because we eliminate one of the variables and reduce the system to an equation with one unknown.

Answer:

a system of equations in which subtraction would be the most efficient way of solving the system is:

A system of equations in which one of the variables has exactly the same coefficient in both equations.

In subtraction method, the 2 equations in the system are subtracted to form a new equation with only 1 variable. To work out for the new equation to have only 1 variable, the other variable must be canceled out. In other words, we must  perform operations on each equation first<span> until 1 term has an equal and opposite coefficient as the corresponding term in the other equation.</span>

Identify the domain and range of each function. Make sure to provide these answers using inequalities.
yulyashka [42]

Answer:

a. Domain: (-∞, ∞)

   Range: (0,∞)

b. Domain: (-∞, ∞)

   Range: (0,∞)

c. Domain: (-∞, ∞)

   Range: (-∞,0)

d. Domain: (-∞, ∞)

   Range: (-∞,0)

e. Domain: (-∞, ∞)

   Range: (0,∞)

Step-by-step explanation:

a. y= 3(2)^x \\b. y= 7(0.4)^x \\c. y = -2(0.6)^x \\d. y = -3(4)^x \\e. y = 2(22)^x

These equations are all exponential functions. Exponential functions are curves which approach a horizontal asymptote usually at y=0 or the x-axis unless a value has been added to it. If it has, the curve shifts. None of these have that and their y - values remain between 0 and ∞. This is the range, the set of y values.

However, the range of exponentials can change based on the leading coefficient. If it is negative the graph flips upside down and its range goes to -∞. C and D have this. Their range is (-∞, 0)

In exponential functions, the x values are usually not affected and all are included in the function. Their domain is (-∞, ∞). All of these equations have this domain.

a. Domain: (-∞, ∞)

   Range: (0,∞)

b. Domain: (-∞, ∞)

   Range: (0,∞)

c. Domain: (-∞, ∞)

   Range: (-∞,0)

d. Domain: (-∞, ∞)

   Range: (-∞,0)

e. Domain: (-∞, ∞)

   Range: (0,∞)

Is 6/12 greater than 8/12
Sav [38]
\frac{6}{12} is less than \frac{8}{12}. This is because 6/12 and 8/12 already have the same denominators, so we don't need to change em. Now lets look at the numerators:-

6 & 8

Now we will compare these

6 is less than 8

So, 6/12 is less than 8/12.

Hope i helped ya!!

How would you find the empirical probability of getting a red card, if you are choosing a card from an ordinary deck of 52 cards
RSB [31]
You can eliminate choice B because pulling two cards (from 52) does not accurately represent the deck since the sample size is too small.
<span>
There are 26 red cards (13 diamonds and 13 hearts) out of 52 total cards.

So the probability is 26/52 = 1/2, which means that the empirical probability can be determined. So choice C is out.
</span><span>
Another way is to pull out cards at random and make notes as to what color cards you are pulling. Then you can divide the count of red cards by the count of cards total. This is basically what choice A is describing.

So the answer is choice A</span>

HURRY PLEASE
Brrunno [24]

Answer:

x=5

Step-by-step explanation:

6x-7=2x+13

6x-7+7=2x+13+7

6x=2x+20

6x-2x=2x+20-2x

4x=20

\frac{4x}{4}=\frac{20}{4}

x=5

Hope this helps!!
