There are different kinds of logical reasoning, two of the most known are the deductive reasoning and the inductive reasoning.

In the deductive reasoning we come to a conclusion by giving previous statements, as in this example.

Premise 1: All birds has wings.

Premise 2: The chicken is a bird.

Conclusion: The chicken has wings.

By the other hand, in the inductive reasoning we came to a conclusion by a series of previous observations, coming from specific cases to a general case. As in this example.

Premise 1: The brown cat has a tail.

Premise 2: The black cat has a tail

Premise 3: The white cat has a tail.

Conclusion: All cats have tails.

For the inductive reasoning to be accurate, there must be a large number of premises (observations).

So, the answer would be <u>inductive reasoning </u>Answer:

<u>inductive reasoning</u>

\boxed{a. \: f(x) = 3(2)x} \: is \: correct

Step-by-step explanation:

if \: the  \: points \: are \:  (1, 6) \:  and  \: (2, 12) \to \\ then \to \\ m =  \frac{12 - 6}{2 - 1}  =  \frac{6}{1}  \\  \boxed{m = 6} \\ y - 6 = m(x  - 1) \\ y = 6x - 6 + 6 \\ y = 6x = (3)(2)x \\ but \: y = f(x) \to \: hence \to \\ \boxed{ f(x) = 3(2)x}
