For example, many kinds of plant rely on birds, monkeys, insects and other animals that feed on their fruits, seed, etc, and the canivores will eventually feed on these herbivores. So if only plants or animals are affected, the others can somehow be affted as well. But this is not very likely to happen since the change in the climate can have an effect on any organism, for instance, many animals that can't adapt to the new temperature and the change in their diet will be affected and very likely to die, the same thing may happen to animals, as well. So B is the most suitable answer (in my personal opinion).
