Thats pretty simple. 4/10 is 40 percent as you can do cross product. percents are out of 100. 10 times 10 give you 100. 4 times 10 gives you 40 or 40/100 which equals 40%

ValentinkaMS [17]

Answer:

12,633.7

Step-by-step explanation:

population of Chicago, in 2003 = 2,869,121

The area of Chicago = 227.1 square miles.

What was the average number of people living in 1 square mile?

Average number of people living in 1 square mile also refers to the population density of Chicago

Average number of people living in 1 square mile = Total population / total square miles

= 2,869,121 / 227.1

= 12633.734037868

Approximately

12,633.7

Please answer this is only algebra 1

The numeric values for the given functions are as follows:

  • f(1/3) = 1/9.
  • g(4) = 8.
  • g(-3) = -6.

<h3>How to find the numeric value of a function or of an expression at a given point?</h3>

To find the numeric value of a function at x = a, we replace each instance of the variable, usually x, in the function by the desired value of a.

Function f(x) is defined by:

f(x) = x².

For the numeric value at x = 1/3, we replace the lone instance of x by 1/3, hence:

f(1/3) = (1/3)² = 1/9.

Function g(x) is defined by:

g(x) = 2x.

For the numeric value at x = 4, we replace the lone instance of x by 4, hence:

g(4) = 2(4) = 8.

For the numeric value at x = -3, we replace the lone instance of x by -3, hence:

g(-3) = 2(-3) = -6.
