Vote them out, lobby them, protest, write letters, call, email, form interest groups, run for office, become active in politics and the community.
The economist John Maynard Keynes said that "<span>(A) Using government spending to increase consumer demand for goods"</span> was necessary to restart the economy during the Depression, since the private sector was unable to do so on its own.
They were active in the abolintionists movement. :)
