Hello,
The translation t is (x,y)->(x-2,y+3)
So its inverse t^(-1)=-t is (x,y)->(x+2,y-3)

B=-t(B')=(4+2,-8-3)=(6,-11)

Svetlanka [38]
you have to add 2×3 =6 ft to both length and width.
33+6 =39
36 +6=45
the perimeter is
p = 2×39 + 2×45
p = 78 + 90
p = 168

Jose needs 168 ft of fencing

hope it helps.

How do I find the sum and Express it in simplest form ? (3t^2+6t)+(-9t^2-5t+5)
Leona [35]

-6t²+t+6

1. Let's group terms like, after eliminating the parentheses.

(3t²+6t+1)+(-9t²-5t+5)

3t²+6t+1-9t²-5t+5

3t²-9t² +6t-5t +5+1

-6t²+t+6

This is the simplest and most convenient form since there' s already a coefficient 1 in term "t".

If dy/dt=-2y and if y=1 when t=0, what is the value of t for which y=1/2
gladu [14]
\bf \displaystyle \int -2t\cdot dt\implies -2\int t\cdot dt\implies -2\cdot \cfrac{t^2}{2}+C
\\\\\\
-t^2+C=f(x)\qquad
\begin{cases}
f(x)=y=1\\
t=0
\end{cases}\implies -0^2+C=1\implies C=1
\\\\\\
-t^2+1=f(x)\\\\
-----------------------------\\\\
-t^2+1=f(x)\qquad f(x)=\cfrac{1}{2}\implies -t^2+1=\cfrac{1}{2}
\\\\\\
1-\cfrac{1}{2}=t^2\implies \pm \sqrt{\cfrac{1}{2}}=t\implies \cfrac{1}{\pm \sqrt{2}}=t
\\\\\\
\pm \cfrac{\sqrt{2}}{2}=t\impliedby \textit{with a rationalized denominator}
