Rate of change =\frac{y_{2} -y_{1} }{x_{2} -x_{1} }.

To find linear function with the greatest unit rate we find the rate of change of each points.

A) The given points are(2, 16) and (5, 10 )

Rate of change =\frac{10-16}{5-2}=\frac{-6}{2}=-3.

B) The given points are :(2,14) and (6,12)

Rate of change=\frac{12-14}{6-2}=\frac{-2}{4}=\frac{-1}{2}.

C) Points are (2,-24) and (5,-15)

Rate of change = \frac{-15+24}{5-2}=\frac{9}{3}= 3.

D) Points are :(2,-12) and (6,-16)

Rate of change =\frac{-16+12}{6-2}=\frac{-4}{4}=-1.

E) Points are  (2, -19 ) and (6, -17)

Rate of change =\frac{-17+19}{6-2}=\frac{-2}{4}=\frac{-1}{2}.

Option C has the greatest rate of change.
