Distance between (-4, -3) (2, 1)
VikaD [51]

Answer:

\Longrightarrow: \boxed{\sf{2\sqrt{13}}}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Question</u>:

  • Find the distance between (-4,-3) (2,1)

<u>To find:</u>

  • The distance between (-4,-3) (2,1).

Use the distance formula.

<u>Distance formula:</u>

\Longrightarrow: \sf{\sqrt{\left(x_2-x_1\right)^2+\left(y_2-y_1\right)^2}}

\sf{y_2=1}\\\\\sf{y_1=(-3)}\\\\\sf{x_2=2}\\\\\sf{x_1=(-4)}

\Longrightarrow: \sf{\sqrt{\left(2-\left(-4\right)\right)^2+\left(1-\left(-3\right)\right)^2}

Solve.

\Longrightarrow: \boxed{\sf{2\sqrt{13}}}

  • <u>Therefore, the final answer is 2√13.</u>

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.

What is the simplified form of the equation fraction 4 over 5 n minus fraction 3 over 5 equals fraction 1 over 5 n?
Cerrena [4.2K]
If you would like to know the simplified form of the equation, you can calculate this using the following steps:

4/5n - 3/5 = 1/5n     /*5n
4 - 3/5 * 5n = 1
4 - 3n = 1
4 - 1 = 3n
3 = 3n
n = 1

<span>The correct result would be n = 1.</span>

The vertical line passing through the vertex of a parabola is called the
andrew-mc [135]

Answer:

Axis of symmetry.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given an incomplete statement. We are supposed to complete the given statement.

Given statement: The vertical line passing through the vertex of a parabola is called the ________.

We know that a parabola is symmetric about axis of symmetry . The line passing through the vertex of parabola divides the parabola into two mirror images.

Therefore, the vertical line passing through the vertex of a parabola is called the the <u>axis of symmetry.</u>

A tank contains 4500 litres of water. Water flows out of the tank at a rate of 1.2 litres per second. How many minutes will it t
8090 [49]
The first thing to notice with this question is that the volume of the tank is given in cm3 yet the rate at which the water leaks is in litres, so a conversion of units will be neccessary. We know that there are 1000cm3 for every litre so 45000cm3 is equivilent to 45 litres (45,000/1000 = 45). So what do we know now? Well the tank of water contains 45 litres, and every minute 0.75 litres is lost, so our objective is to find out how many miuntes go by before the tank is empty. In other words how many 0.75s go into 45, luckily division can help us out. 45/0.75 = 60 minutes.
