The two containers hold 328 ounces at the they hold same amount of water.

Step-by-step explanation:

The equations below model the ounces of water, y, in each container after x minutes.

y = 16x + 104

y = -2x^{2} +40x+160

At the time after the start when the containers hold the same amount of water, the two equations must be equal.

⇒ 16 x + 104 = -2x^{2} + 40 x + 160

The first step is to divide everything by 2 to make it simplified.

⇒ 8 x + 52 = - x^2 +20 x + 80

Now put everything on the left .

x^2 + 8 x - 20 x + 52 - 80 = 0

Add the like terms together to further reduce the equation

x^2 - 12 x - 28 = 0

Factorizing the equation to find the roots of the equation.

Here, b = -12 and c = -28

where,

 • b is the sum of the roots ⇒ -14 + 2 = -12
 • c is the product of the roots ⇒ -14 × 2 = -28
 • Therefore, (x-14) (x+2) = 0
 • The solution is x = -2 or x = 14

Take x = 14 and substitute in any of the given two equations,

⇒ y = 16(14) + 104

⇒ y =224+104

⇒ 328 ounces

∴ The two containers hold 328 ounces at the they hold same amount of water.

Herr is a balance hanger diagram a circle has a mass of three grams and a square has a mass of two grams which is the mass of th
Naily [24]

The hanger diagram ideally should be in balance with all the shapes hung on it.

On the left side, it shows that the circles are 9 grams and the squares are 12 grams. The triangles are 2t grams. Therefore, on the left side we have,

9 + 12 + 2t

On the right side, it shows the circles are 6 grams and the squares are 6 grams, while the triangles are 5t grams. Therefore on the right side we have

6 + 6 + 5t.

For the hanger to be in balance, we should have

Point P is located at (−2, 7), and point R is located at (1, 0). Find the y value for the point Q that is located two over three
irinina [24]

Answer:

 7/3

Step-by-step explanation:

The distances have the ratio ...

 (Q -P) = (2/3)(R -P)

 Q = P +(2/3)R -(2/3)P = (2R +P)/3

 Qy = (2Ry +Py)/3 = (2·0 +7)/3 = 7/3

Simplify sine squared theta divided by the quantity 1 minus sine squared theta..
timama [110]
Answer: tan^2ø
(i’m gonna use ø as theta because i can’t find it)

explanation:
sin^2ø-1=cos^2ø because of one of the pythagorean identities

sin^2ø/cos^2ø is tan^2ø because sin/cos is tan- opposite/hypotenuse divided by adjacent/hypotenuse is opposite/adjacent

hope that helps- you can comment if you need any more explanation :)
