Answer: BANKRUPTCY

As David Haynes of The Balance explains, "Bankruptcy is a federal law that allows individuals and businesses alike an opportunity to eliminate or reorganize burdensome debt." Provisions for bankruptcy law in the United States actually go back before the founding of the country. Early bankruptcy laws in the US were modeled after similar laws in England.

In more recent US history, there have been some famous bankruptcies in which companies sought to make a comeback from dire financial straits. General Motors filed for bankruptcy in 2009, and ultimately was bailed out by the US government (with supervision and conditions). Marvel Entertainment, which now is having blockbuster success with huge movie franchises, filed for bankruptcy protection in 1996 (when it was solely a comic book producer).

How did Rituals help maintain sumerian society
qwelly [4]

Answer:

The peoples of Sumer are among the earliest denizens of Mesopotamia. By about 4000 BCE, the Sumerians had organized themselves into several city-states that were spread throughout the southern part of the region. These city-states were independent of one another and were fully self-reliant centers, each surrounding a temple that was dedicated to god or goddess specific to that city-state. Each city-state was governed by a priest king.

Sumerian Cities

Though they shared the Sumerian language as a form of communication, these city-states shared little else, and were in a constant state of warfare, often battling each other for control over water supplies and the fertile land. A typical Sumerian city was well fortified with thick, tall walls, which the king was responsible for maintaining, in hopes of deterring would-be attackers. Within a Sumerian city’s walls were avenues that were used for religious processionals, and high, stepped temples know as ziggurats. Sumerian cities often had several ziggurats, each dedicated to a different god or goddess.

Archaeologists believe Vinland was located on what continent?
BARSIC [14]
Arachaeologists believe Vinland was located in North America on the coast of the United States and Newfoundland in Canada. Vinland is the name given to the land historians believe Lief Erikson, a Norse Viking, first landed. This was before the Columbus exploration approximately five centuries preceding it and is the only Norse settlement outside of Greenland in the continent of North America.
