-42 + x = =33↓

-42 + 42 + x which is also equals to x = -33 + 42↓

-42 + 42 →0;  0 + x → -33 + 42; x  = -33 + 42 ↓

If you add these to from each other -33 + 42 it would equal to "9"

Therefore, "x" = 9 :)
